INRIA - ADAM is a join project-team between INRIA, CNRS and the University of Lille. Our research activities focus on software engineering for middleware. We wish to tackle two main challenges: adaptability and multi-scale environments.

The former refers to the ability to design/implement software which can be adapt to changing runtime conditions, while the latter refers to the ability to propose solutions which fit several kinds of environments from embedded systems, to application servers and to grid computing. The ADAM project-team has several years of expertise in the design and implementation of middleware platforms. Our current research activities deal with various flavors of these platforms such as aspect-oriented middleware platforms, component-based middleware platforms and service-oriented middleware platforms.
