Tiscali Italia SpA founded in January 1998, following the lib- eralization of the telecommunication market in Italy has become one of the main alternative Telecommunication Operators in Europe.

The Company has achieved a considerable interna- tional position through a number of targeted acquisitions, which led to a rapid expansion in the main European markets and permitted to build up an extensive IP network. Tiscali is now able to supply its customers with a wide range of services, from Narrowband and Broadband Inter- net access to more specific and technologically advanced products, including Voip, portal and multimedia services, IPTV, mobile, etc. As of 31 March 2009, Tiscali had more than 2.7 million active users in Italy and the UK. Of these, ca 2.7 million were ADSL subscribers.
